Frozen Moonlight

Northwest Territories, Canada

On one of my backpacking forays into the most mountainous and remote reaches of the Northwest Territories, Canada, we encountered nearly a week of moonlit aurora shooting, making for interesting combination of lights.  Here, the shadows of the range of thousand-meter walls at my back reveals itself on the sides of the walls in front of me, to the North, where the aurora exploded for hours on this night.
