Cloud Dancers

SE Boundary Ranges near Patterson Glacier

Alaska, of course. From a place far above. It is the realm of icefields, where these giant summits are entombed. You can't see these places from roads, boats or trails. You have to fly, and you don't know when the weather will allow your ride to come back, so I come prepared to hike around a lot and explore when I visit, finding always magnificent treasures. There are more of these places on Earth that are beyond the daily viewers than there will ever be with signs directing you to them. Discovery is there waiting for us, we just have to forget what we have seen, forget what others have told us we should be doing and imagine. Photo © copyright by Marc Adamus.
