Lenticular Bubbles
Canadian Rockies, not Abraham Lake
There are many locations on the east side of the northern Rockies where downslope winds scour the surfaces of large lakes and reveal methane bubbles trapped in the ice below. Lenticular clouds such as this one are also a product of those same winds. I enjoyed the harmony here between the two. Photo © copyright by Marc Adamus.
