Hidden deep in the most rugged reaches of Canada's Northwest Territories this Autumn I found hundreds of miles of spectacular big walls, glaciated high peaks and epic mountain views like this, all of which I hadn't seen before. Turquoise lakes sparkle in the morning light here as the previous evening's storm cleared away. One of the many thousand-meter cliffs catch the light. I used a combination of helicopter exploration and overnight backpacking between wilderness camps to photograph the region over multiple trips. Photo © copyright by Marc Adamus.
